Difference between material and moral education.Do we getting only material education in schools or along with it we are lacking in getting moral education?

Do we actually getting material or moral education in system ?

Post by: Charanjeev Singh Bedi

In this modern era of materialistic knowledge, somewhere we have lacked the ethics and values in our education. When we see the literacy rate and compare it from last 2-3 decades, we find its quite high which literally means that literacy rate has been increased. But what is worth for this high rate of literacy?

Is the education of the day is producing the learners are really learned and prepared to face the challenges of society? According to me the answer is: No

So what we lacked today is ethics and values in our system. Today everybody wanted their child to be educated without caring for worth and values of such education. They simply wanted to transform their child in moneymaking machines. When you see the newspapers today or news headlines they are filled with headings of scams, robbery, rape, corruptions , murders and what not !
Nobody wants to even think reasons behind it. Even this so called education is failed to provide bread earning opportunity to the educated ones.
We have to see it now to add values, ethics and ettiquttes in our education to make it really meaningful as no society can grow without ethics and values. We have to ensure the learning of ethics and morals along with science and technology with equal importance otherwise today's educated ones are like animals without horns and tails similar to  flowers without colors and fragrance.

A deep matter concern!
